Virginia Inn Restaurant & Bar

The Virginia Inn Restaurant and Bar in downtown Seattle is over 100 years old. Proudly, they are one of Seattle’s first art bars, showcasing local artist every first Thursday. Their location near Pike Place Market makes VI a favorite for tourists and locals.

Owners Jim Fotheringham and Patrice Demombynes undertook an ambitious restoration and rebranding in 2008. Blank Space had the opportunity to bid on the project after meeting Jim’s lovely wife Cassie while working with Pacific Crest School. Jim and Patrice encouraged us to learn all about the history of the Virginia Inn. Generously, they made sure we experienced the French cafe meets Engilsh Pub atmosphere first-hand.
We refreshed the existing logo design, created a new website, and directed a photo shoot. The website design captures the VI’s old world charm. New photography features fresh ingredients and their inviting dining room. Guests can explore their menus featuring local, fresh ingredients aimed at sharing the best the Northwest has to offer.

Blank Space did an outstanding job. They took the time to understand our business. They brought their eye and expertise to us in a manner which was educational, collaborative, and inspired. Our highest praise: great result, on time and on budget.
