MEF Associates is a small social policy research firm with offices in Washington, D.C. and Seattle. MEF Associates is a small social policy research firm specializing in rigorous research and analysis to shape the design and implementation of social programs. It was a pleasure working with the MEF team. They had clear goals for their new site, including: cleaner design elements, flexible layouts for different screen sizes, and the ability to simply update content themselves. We were able to achieve these goals and help them think about the structure of their content. We recently collaborated with MEF to update the original design to match current technologies and their expanding services.
MEF has three different types of content that are interrelated—projects, staff, and publications. A project has various staff members working on it and upon completion will result in one or more publications. Each publication has a subset of the project staff that contributes to it.
The relationships between projects, staff, and publications can get confusing if you don’t have a good system in place. After different drafts and feedback from MEF, we were able to create a content management system that makes these relationships easy to input and connect.
The final product is a responsive website that is easy to use and looks great on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
