Rivers, Trails, and Conservation

RTCA brings national perspective to local projects.

The NPS is home to a little know but cool program called the Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program (RTCA). They help communities work together to protect and revitalize rivers, restore habitats, create parks, develop trails and greenways. These efforts provide outdoor recreation and natural resource conservation to communities across the country.

RTCA’s problem was that they were a little too unknown with the park service. Blank Space won a contract to create a publication for RTCA to distribute to an internal NPS audience. Many people did not have a clear understanding of the services RTCA offers. We worked with Katy June-Friesen to create clear writing that depicts the value of RTCA. The publication shares who RTCA is, what they do, and why it matters.

We use our Program Profile Publication all the time and were so pleased with Mindi and Riley’s work and professionalism.

The National Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program supports community-led natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation projects across the nation.

It was our pleasure to work with their team to create this promotional brochure to inform more people about RTCA’s great work.
