A solo exhibition and discussion with the artist Emma Jane Levitt opens today Friday, May 21st at The Center for Wooden Boats. Time & Tide examines how each of us experience and develop a sense of place. It explores how water interacts with land, with people, and with itself. Emma describes the Puget Sound body of water as a fantastic geologic wonder and an everyday entity for people in the region.
Emma is a photographer and printmaker who lives and works in Seattle. She was awarded an Individual Artist Project Award from 4Culture to pursue her work with the Time & Tide series with our region’s local waterway as a focus. Emma graduated with a BFA in Sculpture from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters in Education from the University of Washington. Her work has been exhibited locally and nationally.
The exhibition will be on display at The Center for Wooden Boats gallery though August.
