After much deliberation we have decided to let go of our gallery and make Blank Space spaceless. We are grateful for Seattle’s artists and arts supporters. Don’t fret, Blank Space Design is thriving, and we plan to make and show art in different ways. Please join us as we celebrate the past 39 months as Blank Space Gallery on August 6th and August 15th.
Cut It Out—Urban Contemporary Works by John Osgood
Osgood throws, drips, blocks and layers paint, waiting for his moment of discovery. The paintings tell a story, sometimes it is comical, sometimes it is depressing, and other times it is uplifting. These colorful cut-outs capture the energy of the 619 Western Arts Building. Art Walk at 619 feels more like a rock show and lacks the typical air of arrogance that can be found at some openings. Osgood’s art is an impeccable articulation of this, and creates the ideal atmosphere for us to say our goodbyes.
