Birds Shifts Anatomically Towards the Reptilian

Quirky explorations of nature always pull me in, and Justin Gibben’s newest watercolor drawings Hydras and Basilisks definitely fits the bill. Hydras and Basilisks opens on Seattle’s First Thursday Art Walk at Punch Gallery in Pioneer Square. Meet the artist at the opening reception from 5-8pm on June 3rd.

Justin Gibbens received his BA in painting and drawing from Central Washington University in 1998 and a Scientific Illustration Certificate from University of Washington in 2003. In Sixth Grade he received a 1st Place Award in a Color-A-Saurus Dinosaur Drawing Contest sponsored by the Pacific Science Center.
