Art Access is Featuring Seattle Artist Su Job…

Art Access needs your stories, images, thoughts, and memories. Please submit them to mollynorris5@msn.com. The deadline is November 21st.

Su has played a major role in the shaping of the Seattle Arts community. She is an artist, entrepreneur, educator, and a connector. If you do not know Su Job by name, you surely have seen her at 619 Western, Tashiro Kaplan, her art work, or some of her students work in Seattle. She is an advocate for Blank Space, encouraging our Typography skills and The Great Crayon Experiement.

Riley and I got a heartbreaking email last night about this amazing woman and artist—Su Job. She has an attack of cancer l have never heard of before. The cancer has spread throughout her entire body, it is in her bones, pelvis, legs, muscles, internal organs, and spinal fluid—just about everywhere. Having lost my Dad to cancer, and having a mother with cancer, there are no words to express how much my heart goes out to Su and everyone who is living with this disease.

Let’s share our stories of Su Job and honor her life.
