For Riley’s Birthday I took advantage of our new ice cream maker and made a homemade Tiramisu Ice Cream Cake! I have to say it was quite delicious. Layers of mascarpone ice cream, pound cake, espresso ice cream, and Theo dark choclate shavings. This is the recipe from epicurious I started with.
For Greg’s birthday, our dear friend who loves bacon, we made spicy candied bacon ice cream. I have to say it was surprisingly delicious. The perfect mix of salty and sweet. I gave up red meat last January, but this I had to try. It may be the best ice cream I have ever had. It was a flavor explosion. This is mostly Riley’s creation with some inspiration from the candied bacon I made him for his birthday.
