Portland Street Art Book is a Kickstarter Project—Let’s Help Create a Time Capsule of Portland’s Urban Art

large colorful mural with the type "Portland Street Art" A. Tarantino brought us the the Seattle Street Art Books, and now he is focusing his efforts on Portland, Oregon. Let’s help make this project a reality on Kickstarter! The Portland Oregon Street Art Graffiti Book, coming this Summer, will contain over 100 original color photos taken in 2013. There are some good perks too. Pledging $5 gets you a digital copy. $25 gets you a copy of the book (simply a presale, that supports the printing). $50 gets you 2 books, and a packet of stickers from Portland Street Artists. Pretty cool. Here’s an excerpt from the draft introduction:

While traveling in the Northwestern United States, I explored the neighborhoods of Portland, Oregon. This book contains over 100 of my original street art and graffiti photographs taken within city limits. It is a creative effort to help preserve the temporary visual artwork on the streets. You will see that these are not commercial enterprises or vandalism graffiti, but individual creative statements.

Update: Portland Street Art Book is now available on Amazon.
