The 2nd Annual NW National Park Family Day was a fun community event hosted by NPCA and NPS at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. A successful effort to bring the parks to the people. Thank You for inviting Blank Space to contribute to the festivities!
We had an Art in the Park drawing table and workshop at the event on Saturday. Despite the clouds we had a good turn out. In efforts to engage all of the senses, we had brown bags with a little pieces of nature inside and asked people to “put your hand in the bag and draw waht you feel.” This encouraged people to draw based on entirely on their sense of touch. It was fun seeing the varitey of responses from kids and adults.
Blank Space also created all of the event graphics.
