Alfstad Capital Brand Identity Design, Part 2

Alfstad Capital, is a boutique investment firm who works with community banks to manage their fixed-income portfolios. They hired Blank Space to create a new brand identity design system. Our identity design process is outlined in part one of this post. We have applied the identity design to their new website, pictured below. The photography was captured by our dear friend and photographer extraordinaire Leo Lam.

Already a beacon on the Seattle dining scene, Virginia Inn undertook an ambitious restoration and re-branding in 2008. With a new Web site that captures the establishment’s old-world ethos while giving it a modern spin, the establishment re-introduced itself to local foodies and tourists alike. Featuring original photography and a re-designed logo echoing the Inn’s classic neon sign, visitors are welcomed to explore pages highlighting delicious regional menu items, old-style architecture, and eclectic vibe. Simplicity Home Energy—Website and Identity Design

Blank Space launched SimplicityHomeEnergy.com last Friday. I just love supporting local Northwest businesses. We designed the identity and the website with feedback from Simplicity Home Energy owner, Bob Greenspun.

I was surprised to learn that Home Energy consumption in Washington State was comparable in 2001 to what it was in 1985. (Based on % per household.) I wonder if we have made much progress in the last decade that has yet to be accounted for. Thailand is beautiful

This video really captures the feeling of South East Asia. I haven’t had the chance to visit Vietnam or Cambodia, but I really love Thailand. This video is so well shot that I can feel the tropics in my hair.

At the Schottenstein Chabad House at Ohio State University, activism based in Jewish heritage blossoms at the speed of youth. With a variety of classes, guest lectures, social events, and holiday celebrations, the Chabad House website is a valuable tool for keeping students and faculty abreast. Hip design elements, dozens of photos highlighting Chabad events, and corresponding graphics on the center’s printed calendar remind hectic scholars to stay involved.

In the Summer of 2009, Ben was diagnosed with Stage IV Melanoma cancer. As an athlete, entrepreneur, father and husband, Ben is notoriously strong-willed and charismatic — hence his nickname, “Firestorm.” The climb to this top of this summit, however, will be a particularly difficult one. Conceived by friends and family as a rallying point during his hardship.
